Ch. Lon-Du Rhythm of the NightThis is my sweet little chocolate "CHIP." Got him from Arlon after the June NCIPC show in 2008 where I showed him for Arlon. Chip finished his championship in October 2009.
Sorry but he didn't have a single decent show pic to put up...see? He's just a black blob and looks domey. I didn't have his ears fluffed to make a prettier, more rectangular frame to his beautiful head. Ch. Prima SageTeddy Teri'Terrible Teri' finished late summer of 2008 with 4 majors. (First picture is not a major win - just a pretty picture.)
Bred by Rachel Braxton and given to me by Eugene Hinson, here is Ch. Chownese Spice of Life, Sage.
This is Ch. Helza Dreamin' Simone, 3rd and last daughter of Helen. I put the singles on her then in April '04, sent her to Gene in SC. He put the majors on her in very short order and sent her back to me bred to Chaser. On 3/9/05, Simone presented me with 2 little Chaserettes. I am happy to report that Simone broke with her maternal family history...she was a wonderful little mama!
Ch. Helza Stormin' Eugenia, named for my friend Eugene G. Hinson, III of CooDeeFoo Pekingese in SC, is a 6th generation Prima Pekingese bitch. She's a great granddaughter of the last Pekingese to win "the Garden" the great 1990 Westminster Best in Show winner, Wendessa Crown Prince and of my precious Prima Solmar Kate Smith. We took these pictures of Geni with our camcorder. Then we made these stills out of the video with a little contraption called Dazzle. Works pretty good, don't you think? Ch. Coodeefoo Summer Storm: Stormy is the sire of Eugenia. He was bred by Eugene. Gene was so gracious to give me Stormy. He was a delightful dog. I sent Storm out to Gene to use on some of his bitches in 2002. Stormy sired four litters out there. We decided it was best to let Stormy stay with Gene back in his birth place. He lived there till his death in 2004. Check out Gene's web page: CooDeeFoo Ch. Prima R and R Happy Helen was an awful mama to her first "lit," Eugenia, producing no milk and refusing to have anything to do with her. On her second breeding, Helen again produced a single female, Ursula. Things went a bit better this time because Helen did have plenty of milk. However, Helen still didn't take care of the puppy and we had to keep them separated except at nursing time. Helen's third and last litter, born 8-29-03, was sired by Arlon's Gold Dream. She had a boy and a girl this time (Candide and Simone) and took care of them only marginally better than last time. Helen contracted pyometra during one of her heat cycles. She was in good physical condition and I caught it early so I decided to try to treat her. I hated giving her intermuscular shots but I did it and she responded well to the treatment. She recovered and as I related, she gave me three litters...well, two "lits" and one litter. Ch. Lon-Du Dee Black Samson, my only BISS/BISA dog. He was bred by my friend, Arlon Duit from IA. That's Arlon and me at the show in Vermillion, SD at the Dakota Dome. Wow - how young we were! Samson died of a stroke or perhaps a heart attach in my arms in the comfort of his home two weeks before his 13th birthday in 1998. Ch. Prima Fabulous Solo was my first homebred champion. It's a special thrill to win with one of your own. At his first show, the North Central Illinois Specialty in Joliet, IL, he was awarded Best In Sweepstakes by Mary Ann Miltenberger. I about cried for being so happy but also because he had been so exasperating to show...just being a puppy though. OMG...look at that hair! I look like a Howard Stern wannabe! Solo garnered a number of group placements though no 1st. I had him put down on his 14th birthday in 1997. Up until his last few months he was a loving, happy dog. Ch. Prima Solmar Kate Smith: Here's a very young Katie (Solo's daughter) placing in the group at our local Sioux Empire Kennel Club. She died one day short of her 13th birthday in 2004.
Here's Ch. Prima Solo Sioux Sudio, another very nice daughter of Solo. Her name is one of my favorites. Sudio's shown with her first brood - 3 males going 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in the puppy class. I believe Sudio was WB under Mrs. Lehnig that day. My gentlemen helpers are Ronnie Crowder with Boscobel, Pat Derrick with Black Jack, and Arlon Duit with Baraboo. Show was Cornhusker KC on 11/25/89.
I know this isn't a Peke, but I took down my Frenchie web site and this page doesn't seem complete without a picture of my second love, Frenchies! This is my beautiful, Ch. Starhaven Justine at Prima. She was my first French Bulldog. 5 of her 8 offspring became champions: Constantine, Lulu, Ernestine, Francine, Andrea.
